Western Waffles Ltd. is the world’s largest manufacturer of private label frozen waffles. Based in Delta BC, Western Waffles provides frozen waffles and pancakes to a wide variety of clients in the United States, Canada and Mexico from plants in both Delta BC and Moncton NB.

Giffels initially helped Western Waffles with site selection. Western Waffles then retained Giffels to design and construct their Ontario facility. This facility is designed to ultimately produce more than 2,000,000 frozen waffles and pancakes per day. The facility comprises 9,360 sq. ft. of offices plus 128,260 sq. ft. of manufacturing, freezer and dry warehouse. The manufacturing area is distinguished by its focus on extreme “cleanability” and sanitation; all walls and ceilings are freezer panel and the entire area can be “hosed down”.
