Nestlé Canada Inc. selected The Hopewell Group of Companies to provide a turnkey solution for a new national distribution centre. The new facility is located at Airport Road and Highway 7 in Brampton. To accommodate Nestlé’s requirements, Giffels was engaged by Hopewell to construct a distribution facility, including 262,700 sq. ft. of temperature-controlled space and a 40,000 sq. ft. office area.

The facility is insulated precast clad, with a clear height of 30 ft. and an ESFR sprinkler system to allow maximum flexibility in product storage. The site is utilized to its maximum efficiency to provide a ring road, extensive parking and rear yard trailer storage area. To accommodate Nestlé and Hopewell’s commitment to commence operations in early 2002, this large project was fast-tracked and delivered within a nine month schedule.
