The Brick Warehouse LP is a 100% Canadian owned company that has been operating The Brick stores since 1971. Through being Canada's most dynamic home furnishings retailer, the company has grown to over 80 stores, with 5000 employees, and over 1,400,000 sq. ft. of warehousing space and a fleet of over 400 trucks.

To service their expanding retail outlets in Ontario, The Brick chose Giffels to replace the existing Rexdale warehouse with a new distribution facility which is also designed to provide improved Customer Pick-Up of merchandise. Located at Kennedy Road and Marcove Road, the new Brick Distribution Centre will have direct exposure to Highway 410 and excellent access to major highways and Intermodal yards.

Giffels team located the 50-acre site, facilitated its rezoning from agricultural to industrial and designed and optimized the site and warehouse. Giffels located and negotiated the long-term lease-back financing for the project which included the acquisition of the Brick’s existing 500,000 sq. ft. distribution centre.

The warehouse is constructed to provide a 38 ft. clear narrow aisle storage system to support the ever increasing diverse inventory carried at the retail locations. The building and site is designed to support a future expansion of the building which will ultimately be in excess of 1,000,000 sq. ft.
