Giffels was retained by the Region of York to conduct a Schedule “B” Class Enivornmental Assessment (EA) for the construction of of two new groundwater wells for the community. The work included a water distribution system network needs analysis of improvements to the distribution system to support the new wells.

Giffels designed, administered construction contracts and commissionined the water pumping facility (34.1 L/s) that included chlorine disinfection system for the two new wells. The project included the provision of a 150 kW standby diesel generator with automatic transfer switch.

In addition, a Certificate of Approval (Water) application was prepared.
