Sardo Foods selected Giffels to design and construct a new 150,910 sf food processing and distribution facility located on a 7acres within the 29-acre Mayfield and 50 Business Park. The project provides greater capacity, improved flow, greater quality assurance, increased security and substantially increased efficiency. The design includes provisions for meat, fish and vegetable processing, blending, filling and packaging, capabilities to process new sources of raw vegetables, and more efficient liquid filling lines. Soon after Sardo was complete Giffels designed and constructed a 778,700 sf,speculative industrial building for development firm of Mayfield & Highway site. The site is within minutes of Highway 427 and is in close proximity to Toronto Pearson International Airport and Canadian National Railway/Canadian Pacific Railway and offers trailer staging positions.
